A sign of gas prices in CA

Gas price: Arm, LegI took this picture almost exactly a year ago, but with gas prices reaching for the sky again I thought I'd re-post it. I like a gas station that takes truth-in-advertising laws seriously.

(Taken on El Camino in Redwood City, 2/27/03.)

I, too, was surprised to find out that I was paying $2.25/gal at the place right next to work here. Makes me glad that I've cut my commute down to 10 blocks, and even more glad that the summer weather is here so I can just walk.

OMG...are gas prices $2.25 a gallon! That is outrageous. There is so much oil here in Iraq, they can't ever use it all. 58 billion trillion barrels! I am so sorry you are paying those prices. Don't drive 1 inch more then you have to!

According to GasBuddy.com it's about $2.57 / gallon (at Costco, corner of Rosecrans & Hindry).
